ally- what do you see is the three most important issues that you would like to address, if you were elected as a congressmen? vivan- when I go to congress I am going to repercent the state of new Hampshire. I belive I am the candidate best to do that, and so what I want to do and the citizens of new Hampshire have said, want me to do. which are to, reduce the interfearance of government in there normal lives, honest citizens shouldn't have government dictating to them how they should live there lives. I want to repercent my when ever they have a problem with any branch of the government, umm, because I belive it shouldn't be so much hassle when you do have trouble with the government, and like all good republicans I want to reduce the tax burden on both our individuals. ally- do you see that as a tuff balancing act when we talk about, umm, goverment not interfering to much in our lives when we have issues of security now do to the terrorist attacks? vivan- well, there are issues of security, but it is vitally important that we not, because we are concerned of our security, give up the individual freedoms that have made American what it is. Umm, most of us are willingly smiting to the searching at the air ports and thing of that sort. We have to expect that sort of things, but we have to be very careful and not let the goverment, overly, stress us in the name of national defence. It is one thing if you live in a big city if you are involved in a large event or something of the sort, it is intirly different if you are in a rural area, like NewHampsire is for the main part. edith- so how do you see the city of portsmith, for an example, having to reposed to the posoblity of greater security. |
